Electricity Pylons Around The World
Photos of structures supporting electricity carrying wires, especially those in different countries or those with unusual structures, location or artistic composition.
When this site began, it was intended to provide photos of pylons, ideally some in each country of the world. It has now become all things to all people - from web trivia for casual surfers, to a study of structure for engineering students, and even information for young boys who like pylons (and their relieved parents)!
Although the site's main focus is to display images of pylons, we also have sections such as information on structure. Anyone with questions about pylons are encouraged to read the FAQ first.
We welcome your photos! Please send them to pylons at gorge dot org or use the contact form. Full credit is given. If you enjoy the pylons, please use the guestbook.
The photos are randomly arranged amongst the pages with each update.
You can also see fifteen randomly chosen photos here.
To search for specific photos or topics (such as location, photographer, line voltage) please use the search box above. It is envisaged that a detailed index will be produced in the future.
Join the Pylon Appreciation Society for exclusive content and info!
